I wish I could say my obsession for dogs began when I was a young girl. I’d like to think it must have just been a fire that sat dormant until adult hood because it feels as if it is the most natural side of me as a human being. I don’t even think it was a full week after I said goodbye to Luke that I flung myself into fostering. The house just felt so eerie, quiet and incomplete.
